Every Taming.io game you play starts you off with a single pet and some basic tools. Every action you perform, be it gathering berries, cutting down trees, or attacking wild beasts and humans, grants you experience points that contribute to your age – basically, that’s your level. As soon as you progress to a new stage, you will be offered a choice of several bonuses (weapons, contraptions, healing items, etc.) that can help you one way or another. Survive long enough, and you will be able to take on some serious opponents and challenging undertakings.
As soon as you join a Taming.io multiplayer match, you will be likely attacked by some predators or players. Don’t worry, just find a secluded spot and take a look around. Press WASD to walk, move the mouse cursor to aim and click LMB to attack or interact with the environment. The rest of the actions are performed by pressing the buttons on the screen. For example, you can press the paw icon to try and tame a sleeping animal – if you’re successful, it will become your pet, and you can have up to three of those at a time. Level them up, and use their elemental characteristics and abilities to your advantage.
