Tavern Brawl is a unique team vs team fighting game that takes place in a tavern. It is advisable to just assume that the red and blue models represent fantasy or medieval characters for better immersion. Even if you don’t feel like using your imagination, the game is a lot of fun: rush into a fist fight head on, punch enemies, stomp the ones that are down, defend yourself by blocking attacks and rely on your team to overcome the opposing force.
If you think that this title is anything like classic fighting games, you are very wrong: playing Tavern Brawl online feels more like dropping bodies in a team shooter, only there are no weapons other than your fists. Looking at your character from a third person perspective can take some getting used to, but other than that it’s pretty intuitive: run by pressing WSAD keys, look around by moving your mouse, attack with the left mouse button, stop with the right one and hold Space bar to block.
This might be the first attempt to combine hand-to-hand combat with team deathmatch, so every other Tavern Brawl game turns into a fun chaotic mess within seconds, and considering the fact that it is possible to play together with a friend (controllers are supported), there is no reason not to check this crazy brawler out.
